You choose what is shared, why, and with whom.
The initial website form is only a contact request. Medical-record sharing begins under a separate, purpose-specific consent process. For Nepal cases, the annual NPR 5,000 coordination fee and complete reports are submitted at the same stage before hospital submission, but payment is not consent to treatment.
Before records are shared
This consent framework follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: consent is purpose-limited, recorded, and can be withdrawn at any time.
- The patient or authorised representative is identified.
- The purpose of the review is explained.
- The proposed hospital or hospitals are named or described clearly enough to choose.
- The record categories needed for that review are stated.
- The patient can authorise all, some or none of the proposed recipients.
What authorisation may cover
Depending on the case, this may include clinical notes, laboratory reports, imaging, pathology, prescriptions, discharge summaries and limited identity information required by the hospital. Passport and visa documents are handled separately for travel coordination.
Family and representatives
A family member may coordinate only with the patient’s authority or another lawful basis. A parent or guardian acts for a minor. CureYatra may request evidence of authority when the patient cannot act personally.
Withdrawal and correction
Consent may be withdrawn by writing to info@cureyatra.in. We will stop new optional sharing and inform relevant recipients where appropriate. Withdrawal cannot undo a review already completed or records a hospital must retain by law. Patients may also request correction of inaccurate coordination records.
Marketing and testimonials
Medical-review consent never includes marketing. A patient story, photograph, video or identifiable outcome requires a separate written release specifying the exact content, channel and period of use.
Safe sharing
Do not put diagnoses, passport details or medical files into the public enquiry form. Begin with a contact request and follow the coordinator’s case-specific sharing instructions. Remove unrelated information before sending where practical.
